The Knox Conversations: America, 2024 and a political reckoning?

Join Northwestern Pritzker Law experts as they discuss the 2024 presidential election and the political climate of America

CHICAGO --- From the first presidential debate debacle to the late entry of a major party candidate to the stark reality of political violence, the 2024 presidential election season has been one for the history books.

What do these developments tell us about U.S. politics in 2024? What do they reveal about the country’s past and present? And what are the best ways forward?

To delve deep into these topics, the Northwestern Pritzker School of Law is hosting its annual panel, “The Knox Conversations: America, 2024, and a Political Reckoning?” which will take place Thursday, Oct. 17, at Thorne Auditorium on the Chicago campus.

The event will feature two of America’s most incisive and engaging political thinkers and practitioners, as they examine the 2024 presidential campaign not simply as horserace, but within the broader context of these tumultuous times.

Knox Conversations were established to create space for an open exchange of ideas, public debate and respectful discourse on matters of importance to the legal and Law School community. The program will be presented in-person and virtually.

The event is free and open to media. Registration is required to attend in-person or virtually.

PANELISTS:

  • Paul Begala, political commentator for CNN
  • Jason DeSanto, senior lecturer at Northwestern Pritzker Law
