RSVP required for media interested in covering conversation with the former congresswoman
CHICAGO --- In the years leading up to a Trump second term, former congresswoman Liz Cheney found herself at the center of a political divide. Her actions during her last term in Congress posed new questions about the future of the American two-party system.
To delve deep into these topics, the Northwestern Pritzker School of Law is hosting “Defending Democracy: A Conversation with Liz Cheney,” which will take place 3 p.m., Friday, Sept. 5, at Thorne Auditorium, 375 E. Chicago Ave., on the Chicago campus.
Members of the media interested in covering the conversation with Cheney must RSVP by Wednesday, Aug. 27. Please contact Shanice.harris@northwestern.edu.
During the conversation, moderated by Paul Meister (JD ’87), Cheney will talk about how she arrived at her personal convictions, her career in Congress and the road that lies ahead. She’ll give insight into policy, principled leadership and the future of bipartisanship.
