Deering Library undergoing major renovations

A summertime ritual at Northwestern, the community gathered earlier this month on Aug. 3 for Movie Night at Ryan Field. Northwestern Athletics, in partnership with the Office of Neighborhood and Community Relations, hosted more than 2,000 guests for a free showing of “Lightyear.”
Attendees were treated to complimentary movie snacks and beverages, and kids enjoyed a wide open Ryan Field turf to throw a football or play tag.
“My family had a great time and we look forward to this event every summer,” said one community member in a survey sent to all participants. “It is such a great opportunity to enjoy a nice summer night and sit on the field to watch a movie. We ran into so many people we knew. This is a great event to bring the community together.”
