In a new study, Northwestern University researchers exposed roundworms (a well-established model organism commonly used in biology research) to selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), a class of drugs user for treating depression and anxiety. Workers with The Writers Guild of America are on strike claiming they are not being paid fairly in the streaming era, bringing television production to a halt. Professor Zayd Dohrn is the director of the MFA program in writing for the stage and screen at Northwestern University. Dohrn is currently writing films for Netflix and FilmNation and developing a television series. Associate professor of instruction Brett Neveu also teaches screenwriting and playwriting in the department of radio/television/film and has an extensive resume writing plays and video games.
