Adolescent involvement with firearms linked to gun violence in adulthood

In the current paper, Northwestern Medicine researchers found that participants who had been victimized by a weapon as adolescents were between two and three times more likely to perpetuate firearm violence as adults. They also found those with access to a firearm during adolescence were far more likely to perpetuate firearm violence as an adult.
