Following a thorough, competitive bid review process, Northwestern University has selected Follett Higher Education, a national leader in higher education retail and course material delivery, as its new bookstore partner to bring innovation, excellent service and adaptability for the evolving needs of the Northwestern community. This transition will be finalized during the summer of 2026.

Follett will operate Northwestern’s bookstore locations in Evanston, Chicago and Miami, as well as the online store, providing course materials, Northwestern apparel and merchandise, academic resources and supplies, technology and other retail offerings.

“The Northwestern Bookstore plays an essential role in the life of our campus, including helping our students and faculty prepare for courses, outfitting our campus community in the latest gear and managing our regalia and graduation merchandise,” said Corbin Smyth, executive director of Norris University Center. “We’re excited to welcome Follett as a partner to enhance the space and continue supporting and connecting the Northwestern community.”

The new Follett-operated stores will open on July 6.
