Poetry in progress
Attend an intimate poetry reading by author and poet Imani Elizabeth Jackson, hosted by the Black Arts Consortium as part of its Works in Progress series highlighting the ongoing work of Black artists.

Journalism takes center stage
Through music, videos, photos and live actors, “Sanctuary Stories: A Journalism Theater Project” captures the lives touched by the immigration crackdown in Chicago. Actors present stories based on extensive reporting in this “living documentary” created by Medill’s Craig Duff and veteran journalist Stephen Franklin.
Performances are at 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 16; Saturday, Jan. 17; and Sunday, Jan. 18, at the Windy City Playhouse, 3014 W. Irving Park Road, Chicago. Buy tickets here.

U.S. District Court Judge Xavier Rodriguez talks about artificial intelligence in the judiciary in a distinguished speaker event hosted by the Northwestern Network for Collaborative Intelligence and the University’s Law and Technology Initiative.
