Research becomes personal
University of Colorado, Denver neuroscientist Kate Smith’s work became deeply personal when Smith’s 4-year-old son was diagnosed with autism, ADHD and anxiety. In this informal talk, Smith will share the joys and challenges of parenting a child with autism.

Your new prescription? Jazz
The Northwestern Medical Orchestra presents its first-ever jazz night, with a performance from a new big band made up of Northwestern medical community members. Enjoy jazz favorites and standards along with light refreshments.

Head out to the diamond to see softball take on Mississippi State in a three-game series, including a Saturday doubleheader, for its 2025 home opener.

Freedom on film
Peruvian filmmaking collective Grupo Chaski formed in the early 1980s with a belief in cinema’s power to carry messages of social transformation and liberation. See two recently restored short films by the collective in this program from The Block Museum of Art.

Tour Northwestern’s historic Dearborn Observatory and get a chance to look through the telescope during weekly public viewing hours. The first hour is by reservation only, but the second hour is open to walk-ins.
