Northwestern Community to Reaffirm Core Values of Inclusion

Nationally recognized interfaith leader Eboo Patel will speak at the April 8 gathering

EVANSTON, Ill. --- Eboo Patel, founder and president of Interfaith Youth Core (IFYC) and a national leader in building bridges between religious and cultural differences, will be featured at a gathering to reaffirm Northwestern University’s core values of inclusion and community.

Members of the Northwestern community are invited to join President Morton Schapiro, University chaplains and Student Affairs staff from 4 to 5 p.m. Friday, April 8, at Alice Millar Chapel, 1870 Sheridan Road, Evanston.

The gathering for Northwestern community members from all cultural backgrounds, faiths and beliefs offers an opportunity to reaffirm the University’s strong commitment to providing an inclusive, respectful and caring place following the vandalism and hate speech found in Alice Millar and Vail chapels and the Parkes Hall religious center March 11.
