EVANSTON, Ill. --- The 1600 block of Forest Place will be closed Wednesday, Feb. 17, and Thursday, Feb. 18, near the south end of Northwestern University’s Evanston campus because of filming for the NBC television show “Chicago Fire.”

The filming will require the full closure of Forest Place -- an extension of Sheridan Road -- between Davis and Church streets from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. During those times, southbound traffic will be rerouted via Clark Street to Chicago Avenue, and northbound traffic via Davis Street to Judson Avenue.

Intermittent closures will also take place on Church Street between Judson Avenue and Forest Place on Wednesday, Feb. 17, from 7 to 9 a.m.

Parking near the filming set will be limited. The City of Evanston has issued street parking permits in that area for production vehicles and distributed flyers in the neighborhood listing parking restrictions to be in place starting at 3 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 17, until 8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 18. No overnight filming will take place, but equipment trucks will remain parked overnight Wednesday.
