Redevelopment of Norris University Center’s East Lawn to begin this summer

EVANSTON, Ill. --- Northwestern University and advocacy organization Autism Speaks will host a town hall meeting Oct. 23 to discuss how small businesses employ people with autism.
The Autism Speaks Small Business Town Hall will take place at 7 pm in Parkes Hall, Alice Millar Chapel, 1870 Sheridan Rd.
Autism Speaks selected four businesses that, as part of their mission, employ individuals with autism or were started by those on the spectrum and their families. Extraordinary Ventures, Autonomy Works, [words] Bookstore and Aspiritech will explain how to help children on the autism spectrum transition to employment.
Autism Speaks is an autism science and advocacy organization that funds research, increases awareness and advocates for the needs of individuals with autism and their families.
The event is funded by the Ireland Family Foundation in coordination with Northwestern’s Neurodevelopmental Disabilities Lab and the Speech, Language and Learning Clinic.
