What Will You Discover?

EVANSTON, Ill. --- Research information junkies now have a new place to get their fix. Northwestern University today (Sept. 25) launched Discover, a new website that acts as a gathering place for research news across the entire University.

Named for the “Discover” pillar in the University’s strategic plan, the site showcases Northwestern research in the University’s 10 areas of greatest strength: nanoscience, design, biomedical sciences, global health, energy and sustainability, writing and oral expression, media, performing arts, international studies, and markets, social structures and public policy.

“While research is a part of each of the four pillars of the strategic plan, the discover pillar succinctly outlines 10 areas where Northwestern has a significant research impact,” Northwestern Vice President for Research Jay Walsh said. “Research and innovation in these areas will address difficult problems, creating solutions that have the potential to improve lives, entire communities and the world.”

To curate the site, the Office for Research works with schools and departments across the Evanston and Chicago campuses to pull together a diverse range of articles. The site will be continually updated to showcase new and exciting research and discoveries.

Northwestern Research also uses Facebook and Twitter pages to further disseminate research news.
