Northwestern Names Director of Equal Opportunity

EVANSTON, Ill. --- Jannifer Crittendon has been appointed director of equal opportunity and access at Northwestern University.

As a member of the Office of Human Resources leadership team, Crittendon and her staff will work with leaders and individual contributors throughout the University to establish policies and practices for equal opportunity, improve diversity and access, and build a community free of discrimination and harassment. 

She will advise faculty and staff on protocols, laws and regulations while working to foster change with internal and external stakeholders to realize a University-wide vision of inclusion.

Crittendon joins Northwestern from the University of Notre Dame where she served most recently as director of the Office of Institutional Equity and, previously, director of student welfare and development.

She earned her Ph.D. in education administration and leadership from Andrews University and a master's in management administration and public policy from Indiana University.
