Suzanne Jill Levine has received the PEN Center USA 2012 Literary Award for Translation for her translation from the original Spanish of the late Chilean author José Donoso "The Lizard’s Tale: A Novel."
The book was published by Northwestern University Press.
Levine, who teaches in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese at the University of California, Santa Barbara, will be honored at PEN USA’s 22nd Annual Literary Awards Festival Oct. 22 at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
