  • Explores the dynamics through which teams form and how those dynamics affect their overall performance, as well as their ability to work as large organizational systems (multi-team systems)

Career

DeChurch leads the ATLAS research laboratory, which currently is supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF), National Institutes for Health (NIH), National Aeronautical and Space Agency (NASA), Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), and Army Research Laboratory (ARL). DeChurch received an NSF CAREER to explore Leadership for Virtual Organizational Effectiveness. She is a regular contributor to the National Research Council Committee, advising on teamwork issues ranging from measurement to innovation. She is Past-President of INGRoup (Interdisciplinary Network for Group Research), and Fellow of the American Psychological Association (APA), Association for Psychological Science (APS), and the Society of Industrial & Organizational Psychology (SIOP).
