Career

Norton obtained her B.A. in language and brain development at Dartmouth College and her Ph.D. in child study and human development at Tufts University. She completed postdoctoral training at MIT in the McGovern Institute for Brain Research. She holds multiple NIH grants as PI and has published in the top journals in her area of research, including Nature Neuroscience, Developmental Science and the Journal of Speech, Language, and Hearing Research. She was awarded the Outstanding Early Career Research Award from the Society for the Scientific Study of Reading.
