Career

By 2025, an estimated 73% of adults in the U.S. are projected to have either overweight or obesity. This approach to care is grounded in the latest scientific research, moving away from traditional calorie counting and the simplistic notion of eating less and moving more. Recognizing the complexity of weight loss, Oldson transitioned from primary care in 2013 to focus entirely on helping individuals manage the chronic and progressive condition of excess weight. That same year, the American Medical Association officially classified obesity as a disease. Passionate about educating patients on the science of weight loss, Oldson emphasizes mindset coaching to support habit change. Obesity is not a matter of willpower or a personality flaw — it is a medical condition deserving of informed and compassionate care.
