Interim President Henry Bienen and Provost Kathleen Hagerty hosted honorees and guests at the Faculty Recognition Dinner on April 9 at the Kellogg Global Hub.
This year, 143 faculty — at various stages in their careers — were recognized for 156 awards, including several National Academies and a Nobel Prize.
“We recognize these accolades not only for their prestige, but because of what they represent — the brilliance of our faculty and the knowledge and tools for human progress you bring into the world,” President Bienen said during the event.
Joel Mokyr, an expert on the economic history of Europe, delivered the evening’s keynote address. Mokyr, the Robert H. Strotz Professor of Arts and Sciences and professor of economics and history in the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences, received the 2025 Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences.
