Farewell frost!

On a sunny but brisk morning, Northwestern hosted thousands of graduates, families and friends for its 165th annual Commencement ceremony. The event marked the first Commencement for President Michael Schill, who was inaugurated as the University’s 17th president earlier this month.

Several University officials and a few members of the Class of 2023 spoke to the Ryan Field crowd, which also enjoyed words of inspiration — and comedy — from Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker.
