Redevelopment of Norris University Center’s East Lawn to begin this summer

The following statement was issued by Bob Rowley, associate vice president of media relations.
In light of an efficiency process that began earlier this year, Northwestern University will not be operating the Northwestern Ice Rink this winter. As noted before, the University has been adjusting expenditures while seeking to minimize the impact on essential services and core academic and research activities. However, Northwestern will revisit funding for the skating rink in future years.
