Conversations with President Schapiro

Meetings April 16 and 23 open to staff, faculty and students

EVANSTON, Ill. --- Members of the Northwestern University community are invited to two “Conversations With President Schapiro” this month in which President Morton Schapiro will provide an update on We Will. The Campaign for Northwestern and discuss other campus initiatives.

An Evanston campus event will be held at 10 a.m. April 16 in the McCormick Foundation Center. A second event is slated for 10 a.m. April 23 in Hughes Auditorium in the Robert H. Lurie Medical Research Center on the Chicago campus.

In addition to keynote remarks from President Schapiro, this year’s events will feature a discussion with the president, Provost Daniel Linzer and Executive Vice President Nim Chinniah. The three will participate in a moderated question-and-answer session on noteworthy issues, including diversity and inclusion initiatives and campus development.

The Conversations, sponsored by the Northwestern University Staff Advisory Council (NUSAC) and the Office of the President, will be webcast live.

“We are excited to include Provost Dan Linzer and Executive Vice President Nim Chinniah in this year's event to provide their perspectives on a range of topics that affect staff, faculty and students,” said NUSAC chair Susan Corwith. “Northwestern is a vibrant community, and this is a monumental period in its development. We believe the panel format will enable participants to gain a deeper understanding of important issues facing the University.”

For those who are unable to attend the events in person, questions or comments may be emailed to NUSAC in advance.

Administrative leaders are asked to allow staff members in their area to attend one of the events.
