Northwestern Announces Named Chairs, Professorships

EVANSTON, Ill. --- The Northwestern University Board of Trustees has nominated and reappointed 21 faculty members to professorships.

The faculty members and their appointments are:

Bruce Bochner, professor of medicine in the Feinberg School of Medicine, has been named the Samuel M. Feinberg Professor of Medicine.

Ulf Bockenholt, professor of marketing in the Kellogg School of Management, has been renamed the John D. Gray Chair in Marketing.

Navdeep Chandel, professor of medicine in the Feinberg School of Medicine, has been named the David W. Cugell, M.D., Professor of Medicine.

Anne Coughlan, John L. & Helen Kellogg Professor of Marketing in the Kellogg School of Management, has been named the Polk Bros. Chair in Retailing.

Alfred George, Jr., Grant W. Liddle Professor of Medicine in the Feinberg School of Medicine, has been named the Magerstadt Professor of Pharmacology.

Kent Grayson, associate professor of marketing in the Kellogg School of Management, has been renamed the Bernice and Leonard Lavin Professor.

William Grobman, professor of obstetrics and gynecology in the Feinberg School of Medicine, has been named the Arthur Hale Curtis, M.D., Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Stephen Hanauer, professor of medicine (gastroenterology and hepatology) in the Feinberg School of Medicine, has been named the Clifford Joseph Barborka Professor of Medicine.

Zena Leah Harris, associate professor of pediatrics in the Feinberg School of Medicine, has been named the Posy and John Krehbiel Professor in Critical Care Medicine.

Michael D. Kelleher, associate professor of pediatrics in the Feinberg School of Medicine, has been named the Crown Family Professor in Pediatrics.

Mary McDermott, professor of preventive medicine in the Feinberg School of Medicine, has been named the Jeremiah Stamler Professor of Medicine.

John E. Pandolfino, professor of medicine (gastroenterology and hepatology) in the Feinberg School of Medicine, has been named the Hans Popper Professor of Medicine.

Alvoro Sandroni, professor of managerial economics and decision sciences at the Kellogg School of Management, has been renamed the Earl Dean Howard Chair of Management.

Paola Sapienza, professor of finance in the Kellogg School of Management, has been named the Donald C. Clark/HSBC Chair in Consumer Finance.

Melissa Simon, associate professor of obstetrics and gynecology in the Feinberg School of Medicine, has been named the George H. Gardner Chair in Clinical Gynecology.

Santhanam Suresh, professor of anesthesiology in the Feinberg School of Medicine, has been named the Arthur C. King Professor in Anesthesiology.

Jeroen Swinkels, professor of management and strategy in the Kellogg School of Management, has been renamed the Richard M. Paget Research Professor in Management Policy.

David Tolchinsky, professor of radio, television and film in the School of Communication, has been named the Van Zelst Research Chair in Communication.

Mark Wainwright, professor of pediatrics in the Feinberg School of Medicine, has been named the Founder’s Board Chair in Neurology.

Myles Wolf, professor of medicine in the Feinberg School of Medicine, has been named the Margaret Gray Morton Professor of Medicine.

Mary Zimmerman, professor of performance studies in the School of Communication, has been renamed the Jaharis Family Professor.
