Campus Community Invited to Campaign Launch

Students, faculty and staff will celebrate at simultaneous events in Evanston and Chicago

EVANSTON, Ill. --- Northwestern University leaders, faculty, students and staff will gather March 14 on “Purple Friday” to celebrate and learn how Northwestern’s new fundraising campaign will help realize the transformative vision set forth in the University’s strategic plan.

Simultaneous events are scheduled on the Evanston and Chicago campuses where University officials, faculty and students will make remarks. The receptions will feature giveaways, official campaign t-shirts and a few surprises.

On “Purple Friday” all members of the University community -- on campus and around the world -- are encouraged to show their pride in Northwestern by wearing purple. Share photos on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram using the hashtag #NUPurpleFriday.
