Redevelopment of Norris University Center’s East Lawn to begin this summer

Dear friends and colleagues,
Effective early this summer, I will retire from Northwestern University after 17 years to pursue the next phase of my professional career -- primarily board services, consulting and teaching. This is the plan I have long envisioned.
Northwestern has provided me with an extraordinary opportunity to contribute to the leadership of my alma mater, which has been very gratifying. I am also proud to have partnered with many exceptionally talented members of the University’s administration, board of trustees, faculty, students, alumni and others in the broader Northwestern community to accomplish so much toward making our University what it is today.
To everyone, I say thank you. Please be assured that until I officially leave my desk -- and for a long time thereafter -- I will do whatever I can for the betterment of Northwestern University.
