Report on the First Five Years of NU-Q

Dean Everette Dennis highlights achievements and growth opportunities

EVANSTON, Ill. --- Everette Dennis, dean and CEO of Northwestern University in Qatar, will deliver a report highlighting signature achievements from NU-Q's first five years at 4 p.m. Oct. 2 on the Evanston campus.

Northwestern faculty, staff and students are invited to attend the event, which will be held in Louis Room North of the Norris University Center.

Dennis will report on NU-Q projects and partnerships, including an eight-nation survey of media use in the Middle East, an effort to create conditions for media freedom in Libya and the launch of the Qatar Media Industries Forum.

Also from NU-Q, associate dean for academic affairs Jeremy Cohen and director of student affairs Greg Bergida will join the presentation. The three will explore key topics, such as navigating change in the Middle East, the NU-Q student experience, new programs in media and politics and Middle East studies, semester at NU-Q for Evanston-based students and NU-Q employment opportunities.
