ESPN Reporter Adam Schefter to Speak at Northwestern

Veteran sportswriter will discuss issues in National Football League, sports journalism

EVANSTON, Ill. --- ESPN reporter and analyst Adam Schefter will talk about covering the National Football League and his more than two-decade career in sports journalism on Wednesday, April 10, at Northwestern University.

The free and public lecture will take place at 4 p.m. in the McCormick Tribune Center Forum, 1870 Campus Drive, Evanston. It is presented by Northwestern’s Medill School of Journalism, Media, Integrated Marketing Communications.

Schefter, who earned a master’s degree in journalism from Medill in 1990, appears on ESPN’s SportsCenter, NFL Live, Monday Night Countdown and ESPNEWS. A strong presence on social media, he has more than 2 million Twitter followers and contributes to ESPN.com and ESPN Radio. He also contributes to ESPN.com and ESPN Radio.

Before joining ESPN, Schefter was a reporter and analyst for NFL Network and a sportswriter for the Denver Post. He is a former president of the Pro Football Writers of America and author of four books.
