Career

As director of aesthetic surgery at Northwestern Medicine, Schierle focuses on cosmetic surgery of the face, breast and body with a special emphasis on endoscopic transaxillary breast augmentation with silicone gel implants, rhinoplasty with advanced 3D planning, the "no drain" tummy tuck, breast reduction and advanced microsurgical breast reconstruction (SIEA, DIEP, and TRAM flaps). He began college at UCLA at age 12 and went on to complete an MD/PhD at Harvard University prior to his plastic surgery training at Northwestern. He is an internationally recognized authority and has received awards from the Wound Healing Society and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. He has published and lectured internationally and is the author of the definitive book chapter on endoscopic plastic surgery of the breast.
