For more than 25 years, wowing crowds with their blend of Indian bhangra, Bollywood and folk with reggae, funk and Afro-Caribbean grooves, Funkadesi has personified inclusive joy. Members of the Chicago-based band play Northwestern on July 12.

Enjoy a picnic and live music during Lunch on the Lake this summer on the East Lawn of Norris University Center, sponsored by the Office of Summer Sessions and Norris.

Northwestern welcomes members of the Chicago-based band Funkadesi at noon on Wednesday, July 12. For more than 25 years, wowing crowds with their blend of Indian bhangra, Bollywood and folk with reggae, funk and Afro-Caribbean grooves, Funkadesi has personified inclusive joy.

Lunch will be available for purchase on-site or bring your own. In the event of rain, Lunch on the Lake will be moved indoors to the ground floor of Norris. Pre-register to receive a free blanket.
