Northwestern will distribute a limited number of free at-home COVID-19 tests to interested students, faculty and staff at sites on the Chicago and Evanston campuses next week.

Abbott Laboratories, the maker of the tests, recently extended the expiration dates on many of their at-home test kits. This extension allows Northwestern to provide at-home tests to the community. While the date printed on the packages may appear past expiration, the tests are not expired. More information on expiration dates will be available upon pick-up.

Students, faculty and staff must show a valid Wildcard, and can pick up their tests at two locations:

Chicago campus

345 E. Superior St. (Chicago) in the lobby and for two days only
Tuesday, March 14 and Wednesday, March 15
9 a.m. to noon and 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Evanston campus

Jacobs Center (2001 Sheridan Road) using the northwest entrance
Monday, March 13 through Friday, March 17
9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

If you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, please visit our symptomatic testing site, take an at-home test, or arrange for a test off campus. Northwestern does not reimburse individuals or units for off-campus testing expenses.
