Emily Babb named associate vice president for Civil Rights and Title IX Compliance

Northwestern community members gathered at Ryan Fieldhouse Nov. 21 for a World Cup watch party hosted by the Office of the Provost. Despite the 1-1 draw with Wales, there was plenty of excitement and nervous energy in the building.
The watch party, leading up to the Thanksgiving break, was the final event in a month-long series of programs on campus that looked at the World Cup — and the intersection of sports and society — from the perspectives of gender, race, human rights and sports journalism.
