Faculty recognized for diversity, inclusion, service at University

The Office of the Provost announced recently the recipients of 2019-2020 faculty honors including the Provost Award for Exemplary Faculty Service and the Daniel Linzer Awards for Faculty Excellence in Diversity and Equity.

“Professors Amaral, Gundlach, Loew and Smilowitz have exceptional records of sustained and meaningful service to the University,” Northwestern Provost Jonathan Holloway said. “Their dedication to our shared values of diversity and equity is impressive.”

The Exemplary Faculty Service Award recognizes faculty members who engage with, build and support the Northwestern University community. The 2019-2020 recipients will be honored at a reception on April 29.

The Linzer Awards aim to build a more diverse, inclusive and equitable climate on campus and enhance diversity across the spectrum, including race, gender, religion, socioeconomic status, age and political affiliation. This year, two professors will be honored with the Linzer Awards.
