Remembering the sacrifice of alumni in war

Veterans

Northwestern University NROTC Battalion gathered Nov. 6 to lay a wreath on Northwestern’s Memorial Rock, inscribed with the names of alumni who made the ultimate sacrifice during World War II and the Vietnam War.

The wreath will remain on the rock for one week, highlighting the bond between the University and the wider veteran community.

The NROTC program at Northwestern is one of the original six units established in 1926, and has a storied history of producing high-quality officers for the Navy and Marine Corps.
