Northwestern University invites all Evanston community members to the fourth annual Community Picnic on Saturday, August 3, at 3:30 p.m. at Ryan Field, 1501 Central Street.

Following the picnic, there will be a screening of the movie “Incredibles 2” starting at 6 p.m.

“Our community picnic is a great opportunity to celebrate our partnership and thank the Evanston community for their support in strengthening the City of Evanston and Northwestern University,” said Dave Davis, executive director of Neighborhood and Community Relations at Northwestern.

This year’s vendors include Hecky’s Barbecue, face painting and balloon art by Ludy Gerardi and bouncy houses provided by The Fun Ones.

Coca-Cola also is a sponsor of this year’s event and has provided 1,500 blankets that picnic attendees will be able to take home with them.

Admission to the Northwestern Community Picnic is free and open to all, however registration is requested by July 31.

Register online or RSVP to Shayla Butler at Shayla.Butler@northwestern.edu or 847-491-2484.

Northwestern’s Athletics and Neighborhood and Community Relations offices are the University sponsors of this year’s picnic. The Neighborhood and Community Relations office connects people and organizations to University resources to build a stronger, more unified Evanston.
