Evanston water to be shut off April 12 to some Northwestern buildings

Water service will be turned off from 10:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.; only impacting buildings on Lincoln Street

EVANSTON - The City of Evanston begins the next phase of the Sheridan Road renovation project today (April 9) from Lincoln Street to Ridge Avenue, and water will be shut off to Northwestern University buildings in the 600 block of Lincoln Street temporarily on Thursday, City officials said.

The Northwestern buildings and properties that will be impacted are 600-610 Lincoln Street, 620 Lincoln Street, 630 Lincoln Street, 640 Lincoln Street and 2400 Sheridan Road, according to City officials.

Once the City of Evanston has completed their work on the water main, which will take place between 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., Thursday, Facilities Management will work to ensure that water service has been fully restored by 4:30 p.m.
