Ten faculty members appointed to named professorships

EVANSTON - The Northwestern University Board of Trustees has appointed 10 faculty members to named professorships.

The faculty members and their appointments are:

Randall Berry, a professor of electrical engineering and computer science, has been appointed to the Lorraine H. Morton Professorhip.

Ankit Bharat, associate professor of surgery in the Feinberg School and inaugural surgical director of lung transplantation and director of respiratory ECMO programs at Northwestern Medicine, has been appointed to the Harold L. and Margaret N. Method Research Professorship of Surgery.

Daniel Brat, a tenured professor and chair of the Department of Pathology in the Feinberg School of Medicine, has been appointed to the Magerstadt Professorship in Pathology.

Kimberly Gray, a professor and chair of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Northwestern University, has been appointed to the Kay Davis Professorship.

Carole LaBonne, professor in the department of molecular biosciences, has been appointed to the Erastus Otis Haven Professorship.

Diane Schanzenbach, professor of human development and social policy within the School of Education and Social Policy and director of the Institute for Policy Research, has been appointed to the Margaret Walker Alexander Professorship.

Leena Sharma, a professor of medicine in the Feinberg School of Medicine and director of the Multidiciplinary Clinical Research Center focused n rheumatologic diseases, has been appointed to the Chang-Lee Professorship.

Babafemi Taiwo, professor of medicine and chief of the Division of Infectious Diseases in the Feinberg School of Medicine, has been appointed to the Gene Stollerman Professorship of Medicine.

Jason Wertheim, associate professor of surgery in the Feinberg School of Medicine, has been appointed to the Edward G. Elcock Professorship in Surgical Ressearch.

Jennifer Wu, tenured professor of urology in the Feinberg School of Medicine, has been appointed to the Mary and Patrick Scanlan Professorship.
