Four faculty members appointed to named professorships

The Board of Trustees has appointed three current faculty members and one incoming faculty member to named professorships.

The faculty members and their appointments are:

Dr. Jeffrey Linder, chief of General Internal Medicine and Geriatrics at Northwestern Medicine and a professor of medicine at the Feinberg School of Medicine, has been named the Michael A. Gertz Professor of Medicine.

Hooman Mohseni, professor of electrical engineering and computer science at the McCormick School of Engineering, has been named the AT&T Research Professor.

Lori Post, professor of emergency medicine and director of the Buehler Center for Health Policy and Economics at the Feinberg School of Medicine, has been named the Buehler Professor of Geriatric Medicine.

Natasha Trethewey, who will join the Department of English in the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences on Sept. 1, has been named the Board of Trustees Professor.
