CHICAGO – Fifty Chicago-area physicians and nurses cut, sautéed, mixed and more at “Nutrition Science from Populations to Plates: What Every Clinician Needs to Know,” on Sunday, June 4, at the Chopping Block in Chicago’s Merchandise Mart.
Attendees made a multi-course, gourmet vegan lunch under the direction of professional chefs during the continuing medical education program, which was designed to teach medical professionals the science of clinical nutrition and techniques for counseling patients on nutrition. They also watched other healthy food demos and listened to formal presentations from several experts.
The one-day course was directed by Dr. Stephen Devries, associate professor at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and executive director of the non-profit Gaples Institute for Integrative Cardiology.
