The service interruption is anticipated to last approximately 1 to 2 hours. After service is restored, an Northwestern plumbing shop representative will be performing a water system flush.

Facilities Management will be responsible for flushing those Northwestern water systems and has developed a schedule to coordinate the work with building occupants. As the flushing will be done in coordination with the city’s project instead of after hours, Facilities Management will provide bottled drinking water in order to minimize disruptions to faculty, staff and students.

Additional water service interruption at 618 Emerson St., 619 Emerson St. and 1902 Sheridan Road is scheduled for Thursday, March 17, starting at 9 a.m. The duration of the interruption will be approximately 2-3 hours.

Once flushing is complete, water service will return to normal.

Facilities Management will continue to communicate schedule information to Northwestern occupants as the project progresses.
