Faculty Forums Oct. 28 on Undergraduate Academic Experience

Task force seeks recommendations on student learning and experiences

Evanston, Ill. -- Northwestern University's Faculty Task Force on the Undergraduate Academic Experience will host open forums for faculty to share ideas about curriculum, teaching, learning, wellness and more.

Two sessions are scheduled Wednesday, Oct. 28, from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. and 5 - 6 p.m. at the McCormick Foundation Center Forum on the Evanston campus.

Formed by the Office of the Provost last spring, the task force has been asked to assess the current undergraduate academic experience at Northwestern and to make recommendations for improvement. Topics include curriculum and assessment, supporting effective teaching, faculty-student interactions, co-curricular activities and experiential learning, wellness and the overall student experience. The task force's findings and proposals will culminate in a report to Provost Daniel Linzer in December.
