CHICAGO --- Northwestern students, faculty and staff are invited to stop by and visit the Streeterville Organization for Active Residents (SOAR) Farmers Market, located near the University’s Chicago campus, on July 28, Aug. 18 and Sept. 8.
As one of the inaugural sponsors of the newly reenergized SOAR Farmers Market, the University will be promoting Northwestern Athletics on those dates.
Free 2015 Northwestern Football schedule posters will be available, and representatives will be on hand to talk about the athletics program and how to purchase season football tickets for Chicago’s Big Ten Team. Attendees can drop their business card for a chance to win a football signed by Wildcats head coach Pat Fitzgerald.
Located on the Museum of Contemporary Art's Plaza, 220 E. Chicago Ave., the SOAR market features 18 vendors offering a robust variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, herbs, cheeses, baked goods, flowers and prepared foods from local farmers.
Formerly managed by the Chicago Park District, the SOAR Farmers Market runs from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m every Tuesday through Oct. 27.
