Northwestern Announces Named Professorships

The Board of Trustees has nominated five faculty members to professorships

EVANSTON, Ill. --- The Northwestern University Board of Trustees has nominated five faculty members to professorships.

The faculty members and their appointments are:

Brian Edwards, an associate professor of English, comparative literary studies and American studies in the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences, has been named the Crown Professor in Middle East Studies.

Frank H. Miller, a professor of radiology in the Feinberg School of Medicine, has been named the Lee F. Rogers, M.D., Professor of Medical Education.

Elie Rekhess, a professor of history in Weinberg, has been named the Crown Visiting Professor of Israel Studies.

Jian-Jun Wei, a professor of pathology and obstetrics and gynecology in Feinberg, has been named the Floyd Elroy Patterson Research Professor of Pathology.

William Lowe, a professor of medicine and vice dean for academic affairs in Feinberg, has been named the Dr. Thomas D. Spies Professor of Genetic Metabolism.
