Search Committee Formed for Successor to Eugene Sunshine

EVANSTON, Ill. --- Northwestern University will begin a national search for the successor to Eugene S. Sunshine, senior vice president for business and finance.

A committee including representatives from the administration, faculty, staff and student body will undertake the search. The committee will seek input from the University community, and it will work with a search firm to help identify the best candidates.

Search committee members are:  

  • Daniel Linzer, co-chair, provost
  • Will McLean, co-chair, vice president and chief investment officer
  • Jian Cao, associate vice president for research and professor of mechanical engineering, McCormick School of Engineering and Applied Science
  • Chase Eck, senior, Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences and chair of the undergraduate budget priorities committee
  • Steven A. Green, associate vice president for business affairs, athletics and recreation
  • Bruce Lewis, associate vice president of public safety and chief of police, University Police
  • Amy Mayber, senior associate general counsel
  • Sarah McGill, associate dean for administration and planning, The Graduate School
  • Eric Neilson, Lewis Landsberg Dean and vice president of medical affairs, Feinberg School of Medicine
  • Teri Odom, professor of chemistry, Weinberg, Faculty Senate budget committee
  • Sergio Rebelo, professor of finance, Kellogg School of Management
  • Karyn Reif, associate vice president for alumni affairs and development, Office of Alumni Relations and Development
  • Apryl Schlueter, NUSAC Chair, assistant director of financial planning and analysis, Kellogg
  • Patricia Telles-Irvin, vice president for student affairs

The committee will be staffed by:
