EVANSTON, Ill. ---Enjoy folk, pop, rock and jazz music and a panoramic view of Lake Michigan during “Lunch on the Lake,” Northwestern University’s annual outdoor concert season on the Evanston campus.
Presented by Northwestern’s Summer Session and Center for Student Involvement, the hourlong outdoor concerts will be held at noon on four consecutive Wednesdays, from July 10 through July 31.
Free and open to the public, the live weekly concerts will take place on the south lawn of Norris University Center, 1999 Campus Drive (outside of Starbucks on the first floor). In the event of rain, the concert will be moved indoors and held on the ground floor of Norris.
Audience members will have the opportunity to purchase a barbecued lunch prepared outdoors by executive-level chefs from nuCuisine, the University food service provider or bring their own lunch from home.
The “Lunch on the Lake” outdoor menu will change weekly. Lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. throughout the four-week summer concert series. The $6.50 full menu includes a choice of an entree, two side portions and a cookie for dessert and an additional $1 for a beverage. Other menu options will also available.
