First case of COVID-19 confirmed at Northwestern

Late in the afternoon of Friday, March 13, Northwestern University notified the campus community that an employee in the Kellogg School of Management's Global Hub on the Evanston Campus tested positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19).

This is the first confirmed case of COVID-19 at Northwestern. In line with University policy and guidance from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the staff member is self-isolating off campus.

In the future, confirmed cases of COVID-19 in our University community will be posted on a dedicated webpage on our COVID-19 website. We will update the list as we receive information about new known, confirmed Northwestern cases.
