Career
Dr. Deshmukh has trained at multiple premier institutions, including Yale University, Stanford School of Medicine, Johns Hopkins Hospital, and the Hospital for Special Surgery before coming to Northwestern University as a Musculoskeletal Radiologist. She is an expert in high resolution peripheral nerve imaging, orthopedic imaging, and image guided musculoskeletal interventions. Dr. Deshmukh is a well-published author in peer-reviewed medical journals and regularly presents at national/international meetings. She is an advocate for optimizing medical care, access, and education, and is passionate about medical humanities. Dr. Deshmukh is recognized as a change-agent in combatting physician burnout and improving wellness as well as a leader in the field of diversity and inclusion in medicine.
