Evans is an artist, educator, art historian and curator.  He is the co-founder and director of exhibitions and programs of VGA Gallery as well as a lecturer in Northwestern University's Department of Radio/TV/Film, and he holds an MA in art history and an MFA in new media art from University of Illinois at Chicago. His writing has been published through Routledge, Journal of Games Criticism, MediaCommons, A.V. Club and Motherboard.
